The books are great, the series is just as good and the first CuriousGeorge was a big surprise and in a good way. This sequel is perhaps alittle lacking but that doesn't make it a bad movie, in fact while thefilm isn't amazing and it doesn't try to be it is quite nice. Theanimation like the first is nice and colourful, and thankfully doesn'tgo into shoddy Saturday-morning-standard territory, while thesoundtrack is sweet and bright. The film also goes along at a good paceand helped by the cute characters especially George(as adorable asever) and Kayla the baby elephant and Norton Virgien's direction. Plusthe voice acting is solid, hearing Tim Curry's voice again always getsanother tick in my book. However, the film is too short and could havedone with more scenes. Also while the story is charming and George'santics will delight anybody, it can be a little predictable and blandtoo, while the dialogue occasionally falls a little flat despite someadmittedly amusing and touching moments. That said though, overall, itis a nice, charming movie. 7/10 Bethany Cox

Considering my son specifically picks this movie over the first tellsme it's a great film. There's a good chance that he's used to the voiceof the man in the yellow hat as he's the voice actor from the TV show.He also loves trains so that could be other reason. For me theanimation is very good and while I found the character voiced by JamieKennedy to be off putting I still dug the movie. The soundtrack ispretty good for a direct to video movie. I don't think I would've seenthis in the theater but it was a great deal for $10. Based on the factthat the rest of the Curious George videos released have been TV showepisode collections ... I have a hunch that there won't be anothermovie released for some time to come.

Frank Welker continues to voice George in this follow up, making themain character as lovable as ever. The few returning humans aredifferent, but that is only to be expected. Frank also supplies thevoice work for a duck and a cow. George makes friends with an elephantcalled Kayla and tries to reunite her with her family. Meanwhile Tedhas an opportunity to become the new museum director. However thingsdon't go according to plan. Can Ted decide where his priorities reallylie? The story isn't as strong as the original, but it's still a cutejourney to take. The soundtrack isn't as catchy, but it's pleasantenough. Also seeing the 2D format is very refreshing. 6/10
